Lift Engineer

Job Type: Full-time Experience: 3-5 years minimum Location: London / Scotland

About the Role

Infinity Elevator Limited is seeking experienced Lift Engineers to join our growing team. We specialise in the installation, maintenance, and repair of traction lifts and lift platforms, working with top-tier brands such as Kone, Schindler, Otis, and Mitsubishi.

Skill Set

  • Proficiency in lift installation, maintenance, and repair procedures
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics related to lift systems
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and traction issues
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards governing lift installations
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and interact with clients professionally
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in lift installation and maintenance
  • Demonstrated experience working with a variety of lift products, including Kone, Schindler, Otis, and Mitsubishi
  • Experience conducting inspections, tests, and preventive maintenance tasks
  • Proven track record of completing lift installation projects within set timelines
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and emerging technologies in lift engineering

Qualifications

  • Relevant educational background — NVQ Level 3 diploma in Installation and Commissioning, or a degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Certification or training in lift engineering or completion of a recognised apprenticeship programme
  • Valid certifications/licenses for working with lift installations
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and compliance standards
  • Additional certifications specific to lift products and systems are advantageous

🔨 Lift Engineer Improver

Job Type: Full-time Experience: Some relevant experience Location: London / Scotland

About the Role

We are seeking Lift Engineer Improvers who have some relevant experience and a willingness to learn and progress under the guidance of our senior engineers. This is a development role for engineers looking to advance to fully qualified Lift Engineer status.

Requirements

  • Some relevant experience in lift installation or a related engineering field
  • Willingness to learn and progress under the guidance of senior engineers
  • Basic understanding of lift systems and components
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Valid driving licence

Lift Mate

Job Type: Full-time Experience: Desirable but not essential Location: London / Scotland

About the Role

We are seeking Lift Mates to support our installation teams. Previous experience working as a mate/helper in the lift or similar engineering field is desirable but not essential — we will train the right candidate.

  • Willingness to learn and develop skills in lift installation
  • Good physical fitness and ability to work at heights
  • Strong attention to safety
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Valid driving licence preferred
